Within Mile End and Braiswick the following case work has been carried out recently:
- Initiative to install litter bins and dog waste bins in Myland Parish by requesting sponsorship from various builders
- Employing a part-time street cleaner funded via Myland Parish Council
- Investigation into employing a full time PCSO with Myland Parish Council part funding
- Speed checks along Braiswick the road and the potential installing of a speed sign
- Various kerbs and road related issues reported to Essex County Council
- Various trolleys, rubbish and street service related issues reported to Colchester Borough Council
- Representing residents concerns over the new Blue Light road from the NAR to the hospital
- Pushing the NAR developments towards adoption by working with the relevant stakeholders
- Highlighting to Colchester Borough Council the inadequate policies which do not deliver service to residents on unadopted developments
- Various litter picking around Myland
I am pleased to be supporting the Braiswick Residents Association with some of the items they raised at their AGM on 6th November 2007.
I am currently supporting the residents in Three Crowns Road and Bergholt Road to try and stop the trains being moved and causing serious damage by Network Rail. Read News Article.
I am currently working with Asda to get Petrolea Close adopted, get the street lights back into operation, stop trolleys being dumped and getting the area regularly cleaned.
I am currently working with CBC to get 11 new litter bins installed in Myland.
I am also supporting all residents in Turner Rise and the Turner Road area by objecting strongly to the proposed development of 4 seven storey silver coloured flats on the old Turner Village site, opposite Turner Rise (Read News Article). A complaint has been submitted following the Planning application and a response is awaited.
I am currently looking into resident complaints about the state of the roads in the Bergholt Road/Prior Way and Defoe Crescent areas.

Turner Rise recently had a residents litter pick. Martin supplied the equipment via Myland Parish Council and wants to thank all those residents who were involved. See attached pictures.
